Frenectomy

The labial frenulum is a mucous fold that fixes the lip to the alveolar mucosa and/or the gum and the underlying periosteum. By virtue of their insertions and their dimensions, the brakes can be deleterious for periodontal tissues or interfere with certain orthodontic or prosthetic treatments, hence the interest of a frenectomy in preventive or curative settings.

Laser Frenectomy tends to simplify this small surgery, the postoperative effects are much more pleasant and healing is much faster, also avoiding in many cases the sutures.
